Hi, I’m Huw, a qualified guitar teacher based near Moortown. I graduated from Leeds College of Music with a 2:1 in Popular Music, specialising in guitar. In 2019, I graduated with a masters in composition.
As a DBS checked tutor, I teach guitar, ensemble, and composition to people of all ages. Offering both one-to-one and group lessons, my teaching style is designed to work online and in person so we can find a set up that suits your location and the way you learn best. My personal experience playing guitar has always guided my teaching methods. I believe that learning an instrument is most effective when hard work is combined with a passion and joy for creating music, and this shows in the 100% pass rate of my students. Knowing how you prefer to learn, and what your goals are as a student is something I always lead with so that lessons can be tailored to bring the very best out of you.
I aim to help every one of my students realise their full potential whilst providing engaging lessons in every genre imaginable.

Robert Ogden (National Autistic Society) and frequently run ensembles on behalf of
Rock School UK. I also run guitar skills and ensemble groups at
